Gaël Froget is a Mauritian contemporary artist, working within a wide range of creative fields. He is most known for painting his anatomical hearts, flowers and grotesque portraits with bold black lines, hypnotic color, scratches, shoe prints and worn out surfaces. His dense itinerary paves its way across street art, pop art, abstract art, expressionism and calligraphy. Gaël’s work has been commissioned and exhibited in Asia, Europe, USA, and has had 3 solo exhibitions in Mauritius where he lives and works. Gaël’s art is a true reflection of his deeper personality: sarcasm, love for simplicity and dark humour.
