Aude Gooly (France)
Since her childhood, Aude has been impregnated by numerous travels, constantly discovering new countries, landscapes, atmospheres, sensations, impressions that have strongly nourished her imagination and creativity...
She has always navigated between real travels and fantasized ones. As a child and teenager, Aude created comics in order to tell fabulous stories through an abundance of drawings and multicultural characters who have always remained her paper friends. It was a means of escape.
This desire to paint imposed itself on Aude at an early age, it was a real necessity to question and express herself on subjects such as origins, roots, cultural richness around the world, the spiritual mystery of people, or the spiritual practices of people.
"Every place I have lived and the world I have evolved in has always inspired me." - Aude Gooly
Aude began her career as an art teacher, which made her enthusiastic about the role of transmitting her passions to her students.
Through Aude's art career she pays tribute to two men who have deeply inspired her with their humility, their wisdom, their great talent, and their generosity. They are Firoz Ghanty and Emmanuel Lepage, a visual artist, painter, philosopher, writer, and poet, and an outstanding draughtsman, author, scriptwriter, and watercolorist.
It is thanks to Firoz that the adventure of Aude's first showing of works began, it is Firoz who encouraged and supported Aude in her first exhibitions, he played the role of a mentor and she owes the beginning of her career as an artist to him.
Emmanuel Lepage gave Aude the chance to improve her work in comics, he was a precious teacher and pedagogue, his generous advice helped her to better understand certain essential notions in art.
For more than twenty years Aude has had numerous exhibitions in Mauritius, Paris, Tahiti, and now in Singapore.
For the past 11 years, Aude has had the opportunity to express herself on the cultural richness of this city-state.
Today, Aude returns back to a subject that is close to her heart: "The swimming pool", a place of well-being, introspection, and calm where you can relax in a refined, elegant, and refreshing decor.
