Allain Hablo (Philippines)

Allain Hablo is a visual artist, portrait painter, and muralist. His expertise is in abstract mix-media depicting organic forms that touch the very core of humanity bringing spirituality to a higher level. His works exhibit unique textures and colors beautifully intertwined as if crafted by nature’s force. Born in Estancia, Iloilo City, Philippines, contemporary artist, Allain is a product of the Central Philippine University A.B. Political Science.

 

He has garnered the finalist spot in several contests such as the Shell National Students Arts Competition in 1991; the Philippine Art Awards (PAA) in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2006; and the First Bangko Sentral Tanaw National Painting Competition in 2011. Allain was the Juror’s Choice awardee in the Art Association of the Philippines (AAP) Open Art Competition Mixed Media Category in 1993 and also in the Philippine Art Awards (PAA) in 2005. He had four solo art exhibits; the first was in Vermont U.S.A in 2001, where he was also winner in the 9th Annual Freeman Foundation Vermont Studio Center Award in Johnson, Vermont, U.S.A. 2001-2002; his succeeding one-man shows were in 2007, 2009 and 2012 in Manila, Philippines. Earning individual achievements did not cease him from engaging himself in group shows in 2010 and 2011.

Allain Hablo’s most recent artwork entitled “A Call for Optimism” was recently bought by Sobono Energy Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based Green and Clean Energy Solution Integrator, providing on-site power, chilled water and hot water, that operates in the Asia Pacific Region.
